Join us at the Herefordshire Digital Forum for a tech-filled day of networking, learning, and digital transformation!
Join us on Tuesday 2nd September 2025, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM for the relaunch of Herefordshire’s Digital Forum, delivered in partnership with Midlands Cyber and Herefordshire Growth Hub.
This interactive session will bring together regional stakeholders, businesses, educators, and ecosystem partners to explore how Herefordshire can strengthen its position in the cyber and digital economy. With a focus on ecosystem, skills development, and innovation-driven investment, the event will set the stage for future collaboration and growth.
We’ll share key findings from the Midlands Engine Cyber & Digital Economy Report, hear about talent-building opportunities, and help us explore how Herefordshire can better position itself for strategic inward investment and innovation-led growth.
This is a key opportunity to help shape the future direction of Herefordshire, build partnerships, and prepare for the next phase of activity guided by the input from this forum
Agenda:
- 11:00 - 11:30 - Introduction & Forum Relaunch - An introduction to the Digital Forum relaunch and the vision, delivered by Midlands Cyber and Herefordshire Growth Hub.
- 11:30 - 12:00 - Regional Insights & Local Opportunity – Applying Research to Herefordshire Key data and findings from the Midlands Engine Cyber & Defence Economy Report and what it means for Herefordshire’s growth. We’ll explore current figures (such as 5% of UK cyber offices and 7% of cyber jobs in the West Midlands), and the critical importance of local ecosystem support in Herefordshire.
- 12:00 - 12:30 - Building a Local Talent Pipeline - A short session focused on the role of education, employers, and regional collaboration in supporting digital talent development. We’ll spotlight opportunities to align with local FE/HE providers, create employer-led initiatives, and link digital skills activity to the Forum’s long-term mission. Attendees will be invited to share early ideas or interest in supporting initiatives: such as digital apprenticeships, internship offers, or awareness events for young people.
- 12:30 - 13:00 Driving Innovation and Investment: Why Ecosystems Attract Growth - This session explores how a well-connected digital ecosystem can make Herefordshire a more attractive destination for inward investment, business relocation, and innovation partnerships. Drawing on examples from across the Midlands and UK, we’ll look at how clear regional identity, collaborative delivery, and visible leadership can drive long-term value. We'll also discuss how the Forum can act as a platform to connect local innovation to national opportunities: including future funding rounds, strategic partnerships, and sector showcases.
- 13:00 - 14:00 Close & Networking Lunch - We will look to outline our roadmap for the next 12 months of activity followed by a complimentary lunch while networking with fellow attendees passionate about Herefordshire's digital transformation
