Have Your Say: Enterprise Connected Device Security – Call for Views Now Open

03 Jun 2025

Midlands Cyber is encouraging our network of cyber professionals, tech SMEs, and wider business stakeholders to respond to a new Call for Views launched by the UK Government, focused on the security of enterprise-connected devices. As more organisations rely on internet-connected technologies; from security cameras to smart printers. The need to protect these devices from cyber threats is becoming increasingly urgent. The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) is seeking views from industry, academia, and cyber stakeholders to help shape future policy around enterprise device security.

What’s the focus?

The Call for Views explores how connected devices used in business environments: such as in offices, factories, and retail settings, can be better secured.

This includes looking at:

  • The cybersecurity risks associated with enterprise-connected devices
  • Market barriers that prevent better security practices
  • The role of regulation, standards, and procurement
  • Opportunities to improve national cyber resilience

Who should respond?

  • Cyber security businesses and solution providers
  • Tech SMEs working with IoT or connected systems
  • Enterprise IT decision-makers
  • Public sector organisations
  • Academics and researchers in cyber security
  • Anyone with experience managing or deploying connected devices in business environments
