Chris will be providing an overview of the “Empowering Women to Lead Cyber Security” initiative, which has been running across the UK for the past 18 months and will be expanding to the Midlands later this year. This unique, cross-sector initiative is supported by industry and government partners including techUK and the Government Security Group in Cabinet Office, with the goal of developing a sustainable community of empowered and empowering female InfoSec professionals across the UK.

Regional programmes are already established in London & Southern England, Northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, so this will be an opportunity for Chris to outline the initiative’s aims for the Midlands, share best practice on how the initiative has worked in other regions and hear first hand from cluster members what work is already underway to tackle gender diversity in the profession across the Midlands and where there may be opportunities to collaborate on shared priorities.
